Oh, But What If You Fly?
Some of my favorite daily questions to ask are these:
“What if you succeed?”
“What if you decided to be happy every day?”
“What if every decision you made was rooted in Will this bring me joy? and Is this setting me on my highest, joy-filled path?
Just asking yourself questions like these is an act of radicalism you can practice every day.
Unfortunately, many of us are conditioned into thinking that we must suffer in order to succeed, or so that others will feel comfortable. Let me tell you this: your unending quest for authentic happiness is one of your greatest acts of liberation and freedom, and as long as you proceed with respect for your surroundings (remember the act of radical self-responsibility), you should never have to explain your quest for joy to anyone.
The whole point of us being on this planet is to be joy-filled, present, and to share our love with others. Let every step of your quest be filled with these pillars, and if they’re not quite there yet, let’s get cracking!
Today’s Activity:
Prioritize something today that brings you unabashed joy (remember the art of non-judgement during this process). If you find yourself feeling like “you should be working” or you “should be cooking for the family,” or you really “should be doing something for someone else,” kindly remember that you will be more helpful to others when you take care of yourself first. We cannot thrive in life if we continue to compromise pieces of our soul and our own needs in place of the needs of others. You deserve to be prioritized, in health AND in jovial fun!
Once you’ve decided what you’ll do today for your OWN unabashed joy and happiness, give yourself clear and present permission to go DO IT!
Have a blast, and I’ll meet you back here tomorrow. =)
